About Kainat

Kainat Akhtar is a highly motivated graduate student who is currently pursuing her studies in the field of neuroscience. Her area of research is focused on investigating the potential of peripheral focused ultrasound to stimulate the vagus nerve, which in turn can act on the neuroimmune pathway between the gut-brain-axis. She is passionate about exploring new methods and technologies that can help improve the health and well-being of people.

Apart from her research work, Kainat is also actively involved in various student organizations at her university. She currently serves as the Graduate Student Organization (GSO) President and the treasurer for the Student Council. Through her leadership roles, Kainat has demonstrated her ability to organize and lead a team effectively while remaining dedicated to her academic and research pursuits.

In her free time, Kainat enjoys painting and drawing. She finds these activities to be a great way to relax and unwind after a long day of studying and research.
